Aston Martin V12 Speedster DBR1, Best Tribute to Past Brand

The Aston Martin DBR1 is one of the most famous race cars produced by Aston Martin. Firmly rooted in the Gaydon brand’s “David Brown” era, his crowning achievement was a landslide win in the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as three victories in the 1,000 km of the Nurburgring. Thus, it makes perfect sense for Aston Martin to pay tribute to the DBR1 by making a limited edition of its most exclusive and exclusive car: this is how the Aston Martin V12 Speedster is configured in DBR1 specification.

Aston Martin debuted its own speedster a little more than a year ago. The original plan was to restrict production to 99 units, but it was later reduced to 88 units. This unique two-seater is powered by a 5.2-liter V12 Biturbo engine that delivers 700 horsepower to the rear axle via an eight-speed automatic transmission. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.4 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 319 km/h. All of this, with the added morbidity – and sometimes sadomasochism – of being without a windshield and hood.

The starting price of this unique vehicle in the United Kingdom is 879,000 euros, and the price of the DBR1 specification has not yet been revealed. Given the rarity of this edition, we would not be shocked to see a price in excess of one million euros.

What does the V12 Speedster’s DBR1 variant have to offer? To begin, we can see that they share the stunning Aston Martin Racing Green paint, a shade of green that bears little resemblance to the typical British Racing Green due to its darker palette. More: Trap in Autonomous Driving Law, UK Wants by End of 2021

Additionally, it shares the Clubsport White-painted numbers with the DBR1 urinal. The modern Speedster’s grille is finished in Satin Silver, while the wheels – stunning 21-inches – feature a satin black base with diamond-cut features. Aston Martin says that the car is painted for an additional 50 hours. While not visible in the photographs, the interior seats feature a combination of leather in two shades of brown and a technical textile in Viridian Green.

Each V12 Speedster DBR1 will be handcrafted in Gaydon, United Kingdom, with the first deliveries scheduled for summer. I am certain that if I win the Euromillions, a device would end up in the garage of my mansion. More: 2022 Honda Civic Tourer to Hit Market
