United Airlines plane makes emergency landing in San Francisco

A mechanical problem forced a United Airlines plane bound for Washington, D.C. to return to San Francisco International Airport to get an emergency landing Monday morning than an hour after departing, officers explained.

The issue was repaired and the flight is anticipated to leave San Francisco another time around noon today, Unnikrishnan said.
