Barcelona scrap plans to face Girona in Miami in January

The Catalan club had suggested the 26 January fixture could just take place in the US city and had support from La Liga. But the Spanish Football Association (RFEF) and players’ union (AFE) were vocal in objecting to the move.
A team announcement added: “FC Barcelona ended up remain willing to play with a La Liga match in Miami, also admitted that income out of the game will probably be shared among most of Primera Division and Segunda Division nightclubs, after the same standards of television rights money supply.”

La Liga is now signed to play one particular match annually from the US as part of the cope with media company relevant. Catalan neighbors Girona and Barcelona have decided to maneuver their game to the Hard Rock Stadium.

La Liga previously said it would go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport when Uefa blocked the move.
